Left 4 Dead for PS3
Left 4 Dead was announced as a Xbox 360 and PC game. Rumors circulated that the game was also coming to the PS3, but the rumours were crushed by Valve’s Doug Lombardi and seemed set in stone in May when Valve was still saying no PS3 version.
It now looks like it’s coming after all as the Official PlayStation Magazine has said that EA will take on developing the PS3 version. So gather your friends PS3 owners as the zombies are coming for you and three of your friends.

Fable 3, 4 and 5
Fable II isn’t out yet, but Peter Molyneux has already said that plans are made for Fable 3, 4 and 5. Molynuex also said that “It’s a big story arc and if you play Fable II you’ll recognise things from Fable 1.”
Lionhead is also working on another project that is “kind of the result of an experiment that went incredibly well”
Molyneux talked a bit about sports games as well, saying that developers have found the “sports games recipe” and are sticking by it, and that he’d like to challenge himself to make a fresh take on the genre.
Who knows, maybe we’ll get a sports game from Lionshead. We’ll just have to wait and see when they’re ready to tell us something.

New BIG PlayStation Exclusive? Meh…
First off there’s no big announcement coming from Sony on 3 August, secondly like so many others I was hoping for a big new exclusive for the PS3, and we were promised BIG by the PlayStation Lifestyle (PSLS) Blog. Bigger than Killzone 2, MAG and inFamous. That new BIG title apparently is Hardware 2 (concept title), a sequel to the online only game, Hardware: Online Arena, for the PS2.
Hardware: Online Arena (H:OA) didn’t to well for it self when it was released for the PS2 in 2003. Still it seems Sony has decided to revive the franchise with another iteration on the PS3.
H:OA was a vehicle shooter (probably not what it’s called, but I’ll go with it anyway) you used tanks and jeeps, and tried to destroy the opposing team. Also, this time around bikes and helicopters have been added to the mix. These vehicles will be customizable. The game will feature 50 vs 50 multiplayer with the standard online modes, such as deathmatch, CTF etc. This is if we’re to believe the information given to us by PSLS.
Finally I have to say I am disappointed, as far as I’m concerned this isn’t going to beat Killzone 2, MAG or inFamous. It might be good, but for me it’s just; meh…, I don’t care. MAG’s got 256 players online so the big multiplayer’s already in the making, not to mention Resistance 2’s 60 multiplayer. Also Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 are two highly anticipated FPS games coming up, so I feel I’ve got enough shooting and destruction. I won’t condemn it straight away. I’ll spare some judgement ’till we get a look at it, but I’m not thrilled.

New BIG PlayStation Exclusive?
Have you heard? Rumour has it that a new PlayStation 3 exclusive is to be announced 3 August. Not only that, but if we’re to believe the PlayStation Lifestyle blog, it’s going to be better than Killzone 2, inFamous and MAG. The new game is not a FPS, RPG or a new Twisted Metal title, also the announcement has nothing to do with the Square-Enix event on 2-3 August. So what can it be? Any thoughts?
Two hints to what this is will be given 26 July on the Playstation Lifestyle blog. Looking forward to hearing more about this. Just hope it’s true, I’ll just have to wait until 3 August to find out…

The georgous flOwer
Thatgamecompany (TGC) was formed in 2006 by Jenova Chen and Kellee Santiago. They were both graduates of the University Southern California. The company won several prices for their fantastically good looking game project called “Cloud”. Which you can check out here. They decided that they would continue their experimentation with these small games, and went on to create flOw, their first commercial game. FlOw is available through the Playstation Network, you can also try it here. Their new title, soon to be released, flOwer continues in the with the experimentation. The game let’s you control the wind with the six-axis controller and it looks really good. Check out these clips, looks gorgeous, doesn’t it?

Littlebigplanet free user-created content
A little while back SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) CEO David Reeves said that people would pay for user-created content for LittleBigPlanet, and that the creators would be able to earn money on the content they create.
Sony and Media Molecule has made a correction to this and has now stated that user-created content will be available for everyone at no cost close to the release date.
I believe this is good news for the community. Personally I’m really looking forward to seeing what people can do with it. I’m sure there’s going to be some: “Really? You can do that?” moments, even though I saw the Sony conference. If you didn’t see it check it out below, because that I thought was a really nice touch to the presentation. Anything you’re looking forward to in the game? Why not leave a comment.

XNA User-created games priced
If you like video games, and you’ve got the skills to make them. Then you might be interested in Microsoft’s XNA initiative. Microsoft has now stated that user-created games will be sold at three price ranges: 200, 400 and 800 Microsoft Points, that’s $2.50, $5 and $10 respectively. The pricing it seems will be decided based on the size of the game. Pricing starts at 200 with games under 50MB, and bigger games cost more points. Microsoft has also said that up to 70 % of revenue will be shared with the developer. Microsoft will however randomly promote some of the indie titles, and if they do they will take 10-20 % of the revenue for their “efforts”.
It’s also assumed that some games will be free of charge.
The user-created games are part of Microsoft’s “New Xbox Experience”. The new games will double the number of downloadable games available through Xbox Live.
